Re:Surgence Vol.1 was one of the very first few times I joined a Marketing Team as well as shot concert photography on a more larger scale. As it was the first time, it was genuinely a struggle at times especially when it came to the curation for Social Media content as it is also the first time I touched Canva and Capcut, which I would know later on, are key tools in almost every single aspect of content creation for Marketing.
As an event for many firsts for me, the work done for this event was so much more fulfilling, especially on the actual day of the concert. Working with the team and the artists throughout these few months have indeed brought a new sense of pride but also curiosity in venturing towards concert photography in the near future (and I did!)
Overall the experience was really one for the books and I was genuinely proud for myself at the end of it as I really did push myself to do the very best that I can do.
Special thanks to the AKAR Team, the volunteers, the artists and my classmates for making the event possible and I'm really glad that I got to work with all of you!
Roles & Responsibilities
Content Creator
- Worked and collaborated with the RE:SURGENCE Vol 1 marketing team in their 3-month social media campaign to promote the concert
- Curated 7 Instagram Reels using CapCut, including: the Concert Announcement Reel, Artist Gametime Reels and the "What are you listening to?" series
- Achieved over 23,409 views on DreamAlive SG's (now Akar co.) Instagram account
- Ideated social media content such as artist line-up reveal posts
- Assisted with copywriting for ig posts and ig reels
- Ideated social media content such as artist line-up reveal posts
- Assisted with copywriting for ig posts and ig reels
Photographer
- Covered creative direction and camera work for the Marketing Team
- Edited on-site photography and videography during the course of the festival, as well as RIF Open Call and RIF Sessions
- Curated social media content, such as IG Reels, for their IG Page
Videographer
- Recorded and edited pre-concert video content and Instagram reels, including b-roll for internal use
